How to Cancel a Crunchyroll Subscription in the UK
Find the company that bills you, turn off renewal in the right place and save the end date before you move on.

Quick answer
Start by checking who takes the payment.
If you joined directly through Crunchyroll, sign in on the website, open Settings, then Membership Info and choose Cancel Subscription. If Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, PlayStation, YouTube or another service bills you, cancel with that service instead. Keep the confirmation and end date.
Streaming subscriptions are easy to start and equally easy to leave running after the series, season or free trial that prompted them has passed. A clean cancellation is not about deleting an app or trying to block a card payment. It is about finding the account that controls the renewal and recording what the final date means.
1. Check your billing route first
On Crunchyroll’s website, sign in, select your profile and open Settings, then Membership Info. This should show whether Crunchyroll takes the payment directly or whether a partner manages the subscription. That small check stops the common dead end of looking for a cancellation button in the wrong place.
Direct
Card or PayPal on Crunchyroll.com.
App store
Apple or Google Play manages it.
Partner
Amazon, Roku, PlayStation or YouTube bills you.
2. Cancel a membership billed directly by Crunchyroll
If Membership Info shows a direct Crunchyroll payment, use a browser to open Settings, then Membership Info, and select Cancel Subscription. Continue through the confirmation screens until the account shows the cancellation has been accepted. Crunchyroll says you can skip optional feedback if you do not want to provide it.
Cancellation normally turns off the next renewal rather than ending access immediately. Check the expiry date shown in the account and save the email or confirmation screen. It is the useful evidence if a payment later appears that you do not recognise.
3. If Apple or Google Play bills you
For an app-store subscription, Crunchyroll says to use the Crunchyroll app: tap your profile, choose Membership, then Manage. That opens the relevant Apple or Google subscription controls. Use the Apple Account or Google account that made the original purchase, especially if more than one person uses the device.
On iPhone or iPad, you can also open Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions and find Crunchyroll. On Android, open Google Play, tap the profile icon, then Payments and subscriptions, Subscriptions, and Crunchyroll. Read the end date before leaving the screen.
4. If a partner service takes the payment
A missing cancellation option does not mean the membership cannot be ended. It often means a separate partner owns the billing relationship. Crunchyroll’s own guidance names Amazon, PlayStation, Roku and YouTube as examples. Open the membership or subscription area in that partner account and cancel there. The Membership Info page can help identify the provider.
Do not cancel your bank card first. Blocking a payment method does not necessarily cancel the agreement and can make an ordinary billing query messy. Cancel through the actual provider, then review the final expected payment after the end date.
5. What to do if you are still charged
First, compare the payment date with the end date. A charge shortly after cancelling can be the final billing cycle if the plan had already renewed. If the account shows an end date in the future, that generally means cancellation is set but Premium remains available until that date.
If the payment does not fit the dates, check other email addresses, Apple or Google accounts, and partner subscriptions. Crunchyroll notes that a second account or third-party subscription is a common cause of an unexpected charge. Keep the facts together: the email address, provider, cancellation date, stated end date and payment date.
A three-minute exit check
- 1. Find the biller. Check Membership Info or the latest receipt.
- 2. Cancel there. Finish every confirmation screen.
- 3. Save the end date. Keep the email or screenshot, then check the final expected payment once.
Use the decision, not just the cancellation
There is nothing wrong with paying for a service you genuinely use. The useful habit is making the choice visible before the subscription quietly becomes background spending. If you decide to keep Crunchyroll, set a review reminder before the next renewal. If you cancel, decide where the saved money will do more for you.
118M8 helps you see repeat spending alongside the hours it represents, so a monthly subscription is a deliberate choice instead of a forgotten charge. The subscription tracker app can help you spot regular payments and make room for the things that matter more.

Frequently asked questions
Can I cancel Crunchyroll at any time?
Yes. Cancel before the next renewal date and Premium access normally continues until the end of the paid billing period.
Why can’t I see a Crunchyroll cancellation button?
The subscription may be billed by Apple, Google Play, Amazon, Roku, PlayStation, YouTube or another provider. Manage it through the place where you originally signed up.
Does deleting the Crunchyroll app cancel Premium?
No. Deleting the app, logging out or removing a payment card does not cancel the membership. Use the billing provider’s cancellation route instead.
